Musical Goodies: Lianne La Havas

I wanted to share some musical goodness with you all! I've had British songstress Lianne La Havas on heavy rotation for the last couple weeks. Her voice is so raw and full of soul. Listen to her album here.

I'm super excited because Lianne will be in concert in PA with John Legend Nov. 1st! Ahhh I'm SO there! Check out her other worldwide tour dates aqui.

Ocean City, NJ Travel Diary

This was actually my last post on TWW, but I had to have a pilot post over here on blogspot to try things out. So I apologize to my readers over at wordpress for the double post.

Anywho...

I’ve promised to get a little bit more personal in my blogging, so here’s my start! Since traveling has been a huge part of my life from a very young age, I’ve decided to add “travel diary” to the list of blog categories. Sooo, without further adoooo…I recently embarked on a much needed mini-sabbatical to Ocean City, NJ (I found a great deal on Living Social). Have you ever felt like you just needed to…get away? I’ve been working tirelessly over the past year and needed some alone time with not only myself but with the Lord as well (my #1 relationship). I caught up on some biblical reading, praising, worshipping and sat back to appreciate the Master’s scenic artisty. I’m slightly embarrassed (that it took me so long) but elated to finally finish the Gospel of John and….wow! All I can say is Einstein (who was a Jew, by the way) said it best in an interview for The Saturday Evening Post in 1929: “No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life.”

I think every human being on the planet owes it to themselves to read the Gospel of John, whether you’re a believer or not. Anywho, here are a few pics I snapped with the nikon.

A yummy falafel pita with tahini sauce form Opa's on the boardwalk.
Mmmmmm sorbeto!!!! I think the flavor was “very berry,” and it was dairy free!
Absolutely the most average tasting fries I’ve ever had. What they really should be marketing is that lemonade which was spectacular!

More pics of the bed and breakfast I stayed at to be posted soon-ish...
Have a blessed one!

Hey Blogspot!

Hey Blogspot!

I'm not new to blogging, I've actually been co-writing a jewelry blog, www.RockinThatBling.com since 2009 and an inspiration-centered art blog, www.TheWanderingWonderer.com since around the same time; both wordpress blogs. I've decided to become more persistent with my personal blog, The Wandering Wonderer, in an effort to develop my photography and journalist skills, so this blog will be a progression of that one.  I'll be keeping The Wandering Wonderer over at wordpress as a archive for topics I've posted in the past, but honestly the overall ease in posting pictures and writing journal entries have propelled me to jump aboard the blogspot train (sorry wordpress). So here we are!

A little bit about me: I'm D.C. born, raised in Northern VA, 1st generation Haitian-American and co-owner of Bisoux Jewelry. If you're interested in jewelry please go here. I just bought a Nikon D90 and I'm in love with it! I also love to travel, eat, read and volunteer. I love art in all forms. I love music and I love the Lord. This blog is all about things I find not only visually pleasing, but will also encompass the stories of people that inspire me, the places I've seen, artists I admire, my wanderings and blah blah blah. You get it. Enjoy!
